WIP: BBR 1/43 Ferrari F2000

Post by Zubski »

Hello,

Yes another ferrari F2000. I always see really good 1/43 models on this site and always wanted to try one for myself. I have this kit and the 1/20 F2000 that i had going on for the longest time and i just trying to finish them so i can get back to my Jordan 191. So far this kit is really fun, no problems so far. I need a couple more 1/43's before i start to get the hang of them. My friends JohnnyFerrari got me this kit for my birthday, this is the only one i have so i have to make it count.

Here it is next to my 1/20.

I wasn't planning on posting a WIP on this build, but everytime i get a reply i get motivated.

Thanks for looking,
Zubski

Going well Zubski.

I've always liked the BBR kit of this car. Something about it just captures the 'look' of the F1-2000 really well. These kits are probably harder to asssemble than the Tameos, but will look really nice when finished!!

Good luck with it all.

cheers,
michael

Thanks guys.

I put together the back wing, i found it really fun actually, i thought it would be more difficult.

I used epoxy the first time and it fell apart on me, so i rebuilt it with this stuff and i really like this glue, it drys in 10 seconds and is very easy to work with.

Hey the primer coat looks far from bad!! :) It's quite promising so far, and it's the first one for you.
For a next time, it's better to paint the wing elements, then glue them together. You'll save annoying masking ;-)

I thought about that before i put the wing together, but all i have to paint is the red, the rest of the wing is covered by decals.

Nice one, this should look very good when complete! What paint did you use? And from spray can or airbrush?
