Mr Grumpy,

Another site that's in 'my favourites'. There is a little section dedicated to the 'Beemer':

Well what da know, I have the same kit.

I'm just finishing off a 1/43 BBR of the Mercedes CLK LM from Le Mans in 1998. I think I've delayed getting this kit finished for long enough and getting sick of looking at it, but I'm still not happy with it, especially the windscreen and paint finish.

yes, the key to kit-enjoyment for me is a direct relation to how much of a windshield there is. that's why i'm building the BMW - - there isn't one.

your merc looks great. is that a BBR kit as well? i must say i'm impressed with them, this is my first BBR i've got and i'm well pleased with it - - although the resin they use is different than any other kit i've built - - maybe that's why the casting is so good.

Yep, the BBR kit, I should stick to F1 as they have a tiny windscreen - if at all these days!

The BBR resin seems harder but a little more brittle than the likes of Marsh or PMA. Still, they do produce some kits though it's mostly Italian cars these days.

You may find this 'build' of a 1/18 Kyosho diecast of interest, which I did last year. Of course, just detailing, not a complete build of a kit. Not sure if you have to register to see the pics.

And here are a couple of interior pics which you may find useful. Please note that someone sent me these personal pics, and they are ONLY for use in your build, not for posting elsewhere or commercial use.
