It's interesting to see what passed for team equipment and uniforms back then compared to today. I suppose that's one of the reasons why F-1 costs so much now. Anyway, thanks for the pics.

Just look how easy it must have been just walk around those F1's at the time.
These are personal pics of some one else posted on an other forum.
The BT52 are the ones which cought my eye, still have to build the MFH BT52 as seen in these pics.

Roland,
Yes, I remember being at Brands Hatch in 1986 and it was so easy and enjoyable to roam around and take pictures. In those days they used to work on the cars just beyond the garage doors (better light I guess!) and all that was between you and the cars was that kind of art gallery barrier system. The fans where always calm, just sort of taking it easy. I think it cost £10 extra on the standard ticket for a pit walk-about!
I also remember walking the length of Silverstone at about 10.00pm on the Saturday before the 1988 GP. again there was this gentle sort of atmosphere with the revving of engines as mechanics worked through the night - great stuff.
Steven.
PS When you get started on the MFH BT52 let us know and will offer some advice - it's a tricky one (took me 3 years off-and-on!).
