My Monaco Trip 2016
Hello All,
As I continue my annual quest to see F1 on the classic tracks, I can now check Monaco off the list !!!
So, let me share some pics and impressions with you all.
To start, we didn't stay in Monaco, way too expensive, so we stayed in Nice (also a fantastic town, and only about 20 minutes away).
Unfortunately, our rental car kept getting stuck in traffic in the city ...... OK, that wasn't actually our rental car. It couldn't hold the three of us, so we took the train instead .
Coming into Monaco, you're greeted by this view: Then a short walk down to the track. We sat in Tribune L. Unlike other "Tracks", you aren't able to wander around and view from other areas. Fortunately, we had good seats, at the exit of the Swimming Pool complex. We could see efforts at passing, as well as being able to see into the pits. From that, a few pics from Practice and Qualifying: To be continued......

Some pics from the race.
In the Drivers' Parade, Hamilton stood alone in the corner.... Oh yeah, the race started off "a little damp." The crowd cheered when they finally stopped pootering around behind the Safety Car. To be continued.....

Re: My Monaco Trip 2016

The last few from the Race. Finally, I was impressed with the amount of people on the hill watching the race. So, that's all I have for now.
Hope you enjoyed my trip as much as I did.
I have now checked off the following from my list:
Spa
Monza,
Silverstone
Suzuka
Monaco
Where to next?? I am leaning towards Australia, maybe Brazil, or Germany, or Hungary............we'll see what happens in the next few months .
Cheers,
Chris
