for me it's the best track in France

I was reading Sport Auto back then , almost the only magazine i can read about F1,

nostalgia...

I loved that track, the long version used before 1987.

Unfortunately I tend to associate this circuit to the death of Elio de Angelis...even though the track itself had nothing wrong and did not play any role in Elio's accident.

Fantastic photographs. Thanks for the link. I can barely stand watching racing at Paul Ricard anymore with all those bloody blue painted stripes on the tarmac - truly horrible!
