New Studio 27 kits for early 2011

Post by Jacques »

Hello I have a "hot" info I just got from the owner of hobbymodelcars I want to share : Studio 27 will release by february 2011 the Ligier JS5 (High and low airbox) and a serie of Renault RE30 :o

The Orange models Ligier JS5 High Airbox is more or less impossible to find, so this is a good new I think. Concerning the RE30, I am sure it will please a lot of french F1 driver fans (like me !!!! :D ) and for the others, this will be for sure a kit that will be much easier to build than the Ace ones.

What do you think of it :?:

I have still a bit of a frustration, as I would love to see, like most of us, new models coming of a Ligier JS7 or 9 for example, and a RE20...

Now wait and see

So many interesting models around
and they will do exactly the same models that exist already, that's a pity.

And last release, for example Tyrrell 012, why Monaco version not made?

And where M192 Minardi, they made M191 instead.

Sometimes I think they just copy 1/43 kits,
examples
M191/M191B Tameo vs M192 never exist
JS5 MG Model/Orange House vs JS7 impossible to find Tenariv
Tyrrell 012 Tameo/WOLF vs Tyrrell 014 impossible to find Meri
etc. etc.

Well, it's in a certain way logical that an existing 1/43 helps as a 3D blueprint.

Anyway, sometimes you check with the 1/43 to be sure and it does not match the measures you take from pictures, so annot trust too much.

a 2010 mercedes would have been great....
so if their logic is like redoing ACE kits, we should see some Copersucar soon ;)

I'm with Manu too. What's the point in making something that already exists... It can happen from time to time or if the first one is really bad, but so usually and with some good samples...

Hi,
I agree with all of you .... why release same scale kits with same versions ?

There could be 2 reasons :
ST27 could want to let know to customers : "do not buy the Brazilian kits when they are released , anyway we will produce them with our quality".
or
the Japanese modeling market wants these kits , prefering ST27 products to overseas ones

Surely , me too , I prefer JS7 , 9 , 19 , 23 etc for the LIGIERs and RS10 , RE20 for the RENAULTs.
I'm afraid if MFH release these 2 RENAULTs .... wanting to buy at least the 2 JP Jabouille and R Arnoux versions for each .

Bye
Gilles

Probably Japanese market still has a room for those duplicate releases. S27 seems to be really money oriented and make whatever
will sell. Kits from Brazilian makers might have tested the market and as soon as S27 see room for more sales, they will release kits, even
if those are duplications. I think.

Right: see a model going for high price on Ebay? sure a good seller.
I won't blame them for wanting to make money :) hehe
