Mclaren Mercedes MP4/13
Hi everyone!, this is my first thread to this forum and i shall start with this wonderful kit by Tamiya, Mclaren Mercedes MP4/13. The reason i chose this for the theme is that it has '6' longitudinal gear transmission! . Well, i have actually started on this kit sometime back but due to busy schedule i put it aside. Now with this interesting theme, it put me to the first gear to get it going again. I had changed my camera too during the process of build, the first batch pictures are using the old camera. And now for the pictures.
First, i start with the under panel, filling up holes and removing panels, imperfections.
Added some details
This time i'm going to use a real wood plank which i got from wolf models. Although this is not really accurate for the bolt or fasteners points, but it looks good in my opinion.
The engine. Not quite done, just added some wiring , CF decals and drillings for wiring to come.
reconstructing the suspension.
Seat with seat belts, but not quite complete yet
The change of camera begins here
After applying the while decals, a white coat is applied over. Tamiya's decals are too thin! Not white enough imo.
Thanks for looking

Looks like some good detail there!
Just how far along was this kit when you restarted it? It looks almost finished.

Haha.. Thanks! Cant remember exactly Roughly 2 weeks ago? The old camera pictures of works were much way back like a few months, randomly taking some pictures when have time, but the new pictures were taken since i restarted. It may look finished but its still a distance for me, decals, front suspensions, details, wheels, clear coat and etc.. ... Well i have read about the post regarding the headstart, and i have to admit im not aware of that, but anyway, if thats the case, it doesnt matter, what matters is the fun and spirit of a group build! I might just consider of starting another kit.CaptainMark wrote:Looks like some good detail there!
