According to my chart that I have listed before, Essex Petroleum Metallic Blue can be mixed with this formula of Tamiya acrylics:
8 parts royal blue
+5 parts aluminum
+1 part black
Then clear coat.

Many thanks guys.

And now the last 1/20 Lotus F1 I just finished : The famous Lotus 95T Monaco 1984 version, with of course Nigel driving.

The kit was quite easy to build no major problem. Now I really need to build a diorama just to show the rainy race track...

I think the next one will be the Lotus 81 of club M....no so easy if I want to represent a nice car.

WOW!

This car looks fantastic! You have done it very, very well, Jacques!

I have always liked the cars of the 1983 and 1984 season with the extremely wide rearwings. And the Lotus of 1984 was one of the best looking cars of that season.

Great job!

Great Job!! the car looks fantastic. Is this the Studio 27 version or the Factory Tz version? Was the rain tire aftermarket?

Hé,

That looks really nice, one of my favorite (type of) cars.
Not your fault, but it looks as if he is bracking very hard, nose comes down, he moved foreward. But that's prbebly a problem of the kit.

Looks fantastic!!

Actually, I was just thinking how realistic it looked, and if Jacques made a little diorama of Nigel just smacking into the armco like he did in the race it would be perfect! ;)

The car I built is the last Studio27 kit canada GP version with out of production modelers rain tires.

Roly,

The car sits good. Its only my white coated paper I use as a paintwall when I take my pictures which is "curly". The position of the pilot is also ok but the helmet looks down...still improvement to do on future kits

Lumpulus,

I have the idea to put the car in a diorama, but I need to find out how to represent the water waves ejected by the tires....no an easy task. But let me think about it.
