Another Black beauty

Post by Jacques »

Hi Guys,

I just wanna share with you my latest build : The Studio27 lotus 91.

A very basic kit, easy to build for a quite nice result. I am also not looking for super detailing but more to represent the cars with the right driver. I am happy to add this model to my small collection. I still dream of a Monaco version with the Ford motor shown in all is beauty during the race... :o

As I have no more Darth Vador helmet to represent Elio de Angelis, the next kit on the workbench is the Lotus 95T that I will build in Mionaco version with of course of great Nigel seating in it !

Cheers

Jacques

I love this car. Lotus 91 is my second favorite old F1 car after
126C2. If I'm not mistaken Tamiya has real car in their museum.

Here is my pray - Dear Good, let Fujimi release full detail Lotus 91
after successful 126C2, let Tamiya be ashamed for not releasing
ever a kit of Lotus 91 and let Tamiya return to releasing 1/20 scale
kits !

El Oso Kits

Perfect build. I plan to convert an MP4/1 into a Long Beach L91...

Many thanks for your comments guys !

Daneri : The kit does not include any driver figure. I modified a Tamiya 1/20 driver and use the very famous 1980 resin helmet of our great friend JamesB, El Oso King !

The biggest challenge was to get the decals for the helmet. For me it was quite easy : I copy a decal sheet of the helmet decals included in the Model factory Hiro Lotus 97T I still have in stock.

After the Lotus 95T, I am really entousiastic to go for a more challenging project, why not the Lotus 81 ?

OK the car was not black....and I still need to find out the right color....
