Re: Ferrari 312t 1/12 - my first post
Thanks to all of you and all your comments, has been a nice start
About the questions, some pieces are just to take the pics (the mirrors are not glued and will have both ). The engine cover is done as the brake vents intakes, both are done with coloured resin and a silicon mold. The brake intakes are textured copies from the kit parts and the engine covers are completely from scratch; this part is hard to make the copies because is really thin (about 1mm or less) and are worked with a vacuum homemade machine, also textured. If someone wants more explanations just ask, because there are some tricks to work with this resin and silicon. The mesh covers are from a guy in ebay his name is j999evo, do a search as "Velocity Stack Covers for Tamiya 1/12 Ferrari 312B 312T".
The paint is the same used by Robrex in his great build, is from Zero paints and is the Nissan red 526.
Some photos taken some ago; and feel free to ask what you want.

Congratulations for the work with your "first civil model". That's really outstanding. By the way, when do you plan to start the McLaren MP4/6? According to what we have seen in the Ferrari 312 T, it will be a really good WIP.
Felicitats!

Welcome aboard Edgarmiro,
Superb work mate, absolutely faultless.
Also really interested in the resin brake inlets if you were interested in selling a set?
Cheers
Paul

This is one of those builds that I sit and stare at for ages, enjoying the effort and detail!
Can you show us some pictures or describe the process for making the vacuum formed parts? There seem to be some complex shapes there, and I'm wondering how you formed them.
Regards
Graham
