Modeling Wire

Post by CBartholomew4677 »

Hello All,
In a previous post, it was questioned about connections for braided lines, and mentioned that jewelry/bead shops may have the answer. When remaking the shocks for a project, I recently found many types of wire in the jewelry/bead sections of Michael's and JoAnn Fabrics (in the U.S.). Many different sizes and colors. The colors seem to be plated or anodized, rather than coated/painted, so they don't crack when bent. They're cheap ($2~$4 per spool) and plentiful. Looking for one spool, here's what I came home with, and here's what I did with it. I think it would work great for braided line combo fitting connections.
Give it a whirl.
Cheers,
Chris

Joanne's and Michael's are great sources for materials. Once I'm in the stores it takes me hours before I can leave. ;)

There is a mecca of a bead shop right near my house... Guess I know where I'm going this weekend!
