Tamiya F2001 - thank you for 5 years F1M!

Post by TC »

dear friends,

this is a very special moment for me: I am glad to show you my finished Ferrari F2001 1/20 by Tamiya. It's not the greatest built of this pretty popular kit, it's almost out of the box with very little extra work, and it's not the cleanest built either. But I like it very much, it's again a significant improvement over my last model, I have again tried a couple things I never did before - and, most of all, I finally finished it!

I had started this kit almost 5 years ago, when the kit was first available in Germany in summer 2002. Around the same time, I happened to discover this forum, and this has changed my whole attitude towards modeling a lot. I have seen and learned so many things from you, which made my modeling improve extremely - it's almost a completely new kind of thing today! I don't think I enjoy modeling itself more than before, but the results are just so much more satisfying, and this I owe to you guys. Thanks a lot.
forza Ferrari!!!

Well done on finishing this long term project. It looks like a very clean job! I'd be proud of that sitting in my display cabinet!
