Yep, that's what I thought as well. Really can't see it being a 197 though.

Totally different guess (more like a wish as these would be top of my list for subjects)

Maybe the yellow represents the wide expanse of the Sahara in the Paris Dakar rally. The squiggly line is the random path through the sands and the circle is of course representative of the sun.

Given that everything is yellow the kit would be either of the following

Peugeot 205 T16 Grand Raid
Peugeot 405 T16 Dakar

The Citroen ZX Rallye Raid was in Camel colors in 1990 as well, but I like the Peugeots better.

OK, time to wake up from dreaming

A really really wild guess here:
I'm still not done with that it might be a section of circuit, although ruled out by others. My first thought was from Skyline onwards (Mount Panorama Bathurst) but it does not suit that well.
Then I thought about Pikes Peak. Isn't there a section at the beginning which looks similar?
The yellow dot looks like the yellow dot in the flag of Colorado, where Pikes Peak is.
General color yellow, maybe this?:

I'm surprised by some of the guesses. MFH's clues are often esoteric, but they're always 'logical' in retrospect. If they show part of a course, or logo, or car, it's always a faithful representation of that course, logo or car. They play with perspective, zoom in and (as seems to be the case here) omit some details, but they don't go for artistic representations or symbolism. Like, it would never be 'these wavy lines are reminiscent of ripples in water, so it must be Ascari's Lancia!' Or 'that zig-zag line is a bit like the comb on a chicken, and Kentucky, which is famous for its fried chicken, is also where Fort Knox is, which houses lots of gold (and gold is yellow!), so it must be a Lotus 49!'
Je ne regrette rien.

New illustration is up on the MFH website.

I was convinced by the idea of the Camel Peugeot - but looking at the new design again I am reminded of the Porsche curves at Le Mans.

Just a thought but the Renault A442 was very yellow..

Also Corvette GT-PRO cars raced in yellow.

As I say, just a thought!!

Nice find Roberto. The Rio Olympic park was built on the site of the Jacarepaguá circuit, so we can assume this car raced there, so if an F1 car it would be from 1978 or 1981 through 1989

Looking at the winners from those years the only yellow car is the Renault from 1982. The Williams from 1986 also has a fair amount of yellow but they already done the FW11

Indeed the Rio Olympic park, the place of the former Jacarepaguá track. I wonder what car it would be, Senna never won there in F1. Perhaps Piquet? Or maybe the march 881 who scored a podium there in 1989 with Gugelmin. Lots of options left
