Yes, this was a necrobump. As we all know it can take years to finish a project. Or perhaps he forgot to update. Great skill and a great subject.

Yes, Anthony's was a good start. Loved the dry brushing to bring out the high-light on his wheels, and engine parts.
I thought this was a new post, till I looked at the date. Fours years have gone by now. I trust Anthony's finished this kit -- or is happy where ever he is.

Re: Brabham BT50
BT50 will be finished!
I have to change decals to Shunko
With Indycals I can't build the car from South Africa GP - driver's number and Parmalat logo are not in the right order. For Kyalami - at first logo then number. But from the box without any changings you can build only version from Kyalami (maybe and some other first races, I don't have enough information) because of the left side air intake. In Kyalami Brabham used square air intake (like a box version) but later they changed it to this
Using Shunko decals means that I will have to paint the blue areas myself.
So...i starting with rear wing

Re: Brabham BT50
Good job ! I made this kit years ago using the S27 decals, I remember that the closing of the bodywork was not perfect once the engine, radiator etc was assembled and I had to make several adaptations to make it optimal. I advise you to do some tests before painting.

Re: Brabham BT50
Hi Anthony. This looks great!
I used the Shunko decals on my BT50 (I recently posted it in Completed Projects). The decals are fantastic and lay down with little fuss.
I will however, advise/suggest you take your time and be as accurate as you can be with your masking as there is little room for error with the minimal overlap that Shunko has allowed for.

Re: Brabham BT50
Thanks for advices! I have already feel that it will be difficult. But i plan to use laser engraver to make these masks

Re: Brabham BT50
REally good.
Yes, Kyalami.
They stopped using the BMW at the next GP, Brazil, switching to DFV. Used the V8 also at Long Beach, should have also at Imola (did not race), and when BMW forced them to go back to the turbo for Zolder, the big air intake was already there....
Note also the slanted leading edge of sidepod side panels (shorter underside profiles) and (oh surprise!! ) the BT46 style rims!!!!
