Maybe Smirkoff would/could release some interesting Transkit on Shapeways...alien9998 wrote:Could this be a good base for a RB14 conversion?

The Ebbro McLaren build nicely. However, I wish someone would come up with more details for the kits. Maybe not engines but least the radiators and sidepod details.

We'll need more people to buy the kits then! Ebbro was pretty new to the game when they came out, and unfortunately most of the comments about it were just about how ugly the new cars were.

I've used spare ones from Tamiya RB6 kit for my build. Not a perfect fit, but could be adopted and they fill in the void.SBEST wrote:The Ebbro McLaren build nicely. However, I wish someone would come up with more details for the kits. Maybe not engines but least the radiators and sidepod details.

I messaged Ebbro, that if not an engine, at least radiators should be included in the kit, to close up emptiness in side pods.
Hopefully they'll react positively. Otherwise more spare parts will have to poached from other kits.

I don't think its chrome blue, just has a high gloss finish unlike say the Alfa.Dino wrote:STR 14 is chrome blue, have fun trying to replicate that.
BeeMax is coming out with a few new kits shortly, so I wouldn't be surprised if they do! I'm hoping they'll come out with an FW15C.SBEST wrote:Wish, they or Beemax do the BT49 and the FW07 B/C ?stubeck wrote:We'll need more people to buy the kits then! The kit I'd love to see in plastic in 1/20 is the Bt44b.
Would look great next to the lotus 72e and Tyrrell 006.
