Is there an actual kit to make that car correctly? From what I have read before, the only accurate car you can make from the Tamiya kit is Reutemanns British GP car. Maybe this needs to go Hirosans to do list.

Thank you for your fine work, Jeep & Accuracing!
I still have a T3 in the basement but I will probably build it as Reutemann's car, as I don't want to modify every car I build.
But it is a fine and interesting read anyhow.

Re: 39 years ago today! (312T3 Guide)
Hi everyone
Glad that you enjoyed our latest chapter.
To answer Bossy 122 question, the Tamiya kit is definetely a British GP Reutemann car.
Other well know kit is the Protar in 1/12 scale, early season configuration that could be turned into a Long Beach version with a few tweaks.
The kit as some nice features, but the upper cowling as proportion and shape issues.
In 1/43 scale, the Tameo kit is really a stunner! Overall configuration is all there for a CDN GP version.
I know that MFH had a superb 1/24 scale Monaco version, but that kit might be hard to find.
There are others less known kits, but we definetely could use a fresh kit (in any scale) of this classic subject.
Cheers!

It's surprising that Hiro hasn't done this in their 1 12 line yet. Certainly rather have this than an 87.
