Painting Carbon Fiber Brake Discs
Can anyone help me with what color and method to use on painting a brake disc so it looks like carbon fiber? Thanks,
Willy

I've used Zeros' Carbon Ceramic Grey paint that looks decent to me.....

Re: Painting Carbon Fiber Brake Discs
I use a proprietary mixture of Tamiya bottle paints, which includes Flat Black, Metallic Grey, and a touch of German Grey. The quantities are mixed by eye to what looks like the right color and finish. Clearly I don't know the definition of "proprietary", but it sounded official .
Whenever it dries out, or runs out, I have to make a new batch, and since it's mixed to taste, no two batches are ever the same.
Cheers,
Chris

I use a matt medium grey, matt black and steel mixture as the base paint. Usually, I use a photo as a reference for mixing the color.
After the color coat is completely dry, I dry brush slightly with steel to give the surface a grainy look.

The Zero paint looks great. I will try to source some. I live in the U.S. and there is only one distributor. I think. Thanks,
