Re: Goodwood 2016
Hi
Yes it is a great show and has always been. I'm just a little overfed of it after 15 years of visiting it. There seems to be some new cars every year, but for most of them they come again and again. When you can't even bother to raise your camera for a Porsche 917, Lotus 79 or Lotus 72 it is time to take a timeout! I feel lucky to have witnessed the earlier years when all the corporate representation wasn't there in the same size which I feel has somehow removed the feel of the 'festival' of it to be just another car show albeit in nice and posh surroundings.
I feel like an old fart when seeing the Mastercard logo beside the familiar Goodwood logo... Probably what other old farts back in the dark ages felt when Colin Chapman painted his cars in Gold Leaf Colours...
Now where is my anorak?
Best regards
Flemming

Re: Goodwood 2016
I agree Flemming. Having watched the YouTube live reports for years I wasn't that interested this year. For me, and that is a personal opinion, the whole show has lost a bit of the old look and feel. Commercialism creeping in; it must be a ' show'; irrelevant interviews etc. On the other hand the new approach brings in the money that might be badly needed to stage this event every year.
