MFH - Brabham BMW BT55
Hi all,
yesterday I found the time to finish this beast which I had started to work on two years ago:
The MFH/Treasure Hunt Brabham BT55 from 1986
I got this kit from benjabulle who had it partly started:
Engine and gearbox where assembled, chassis and undertray painted.
I cleaned all the parts and started again. Here are the results:
I have some MFH kits in my to do pile, but I had never build one yet and this is most probably one of the first kits they ever did with most parts being casted in metal...
I had a terrible time while assembling the rearsuspension. Eventuelly I got it in such a way that the wheels look straight, but you shouldn't take a closer look...
The ending plates for the front- and the rearwing were redone with plasticcard as the PE parts were slightly bended and had very few connection points.
After finishing this car I couldn't resist to do this:
Fujimi McLaren MP4/5:
MFH / Treasure Hunt Brabham BT55:
I am not entirely ready as I want to add a GF-Models driver figure. But I still have to do the decals for it.
Thank you for watching!

Fantastic build Steffen, these early kits are not easy and you have made a first class job. Bravo

I agree whole heartedly with Alex, they are not the easiest kits to build and make to look good...
You've got to work hard, be patient, concentrate, you have to bring out and excel in your modelling skills.
You've shown here you can do that, well done Steffen!!!

I've always believed that you should never, ever give up and you should always keep fighting, even when there's only a slightest chance.
