Re: Williams FW 07 "Dutch GP '79"Tamiya 1/20
Today I made up my mind not making the sidepots removable. I've tried, but it wasn't rigid enough and I think it will cause some fit-issue's. Therefore the sidepots will be glued on. I've made some copperrod to connect the sidepots like the real car. Left side is done, that is to say the upper rods. The rods that are placed in an angle to the monocoque aren't done yet.
The underfairings are almost done.
The bodyparts all fitting nice.
Drilled the holes behind the driver's head in the top bodywork.
I changed the rolloverbar to replicate the one used during the Dutch GP '79.

Fantastic attention to detail and fit. Will look a lot better than a MM kit when finished.

Hi
Very brave to do all that cutting, certainly more than most of us would attempt. Really enjoying this WIP, lots of good photos too. Also like the extra work around the front suspension.
Cheers, Paul

Need a little help here guys. Some days ago I showed a picture of the Williams with the bodywork off. On the side of the monocoque there's a sticker "Albilad Saudia Racing Team". I asked Michael (indycals) if he could make this decal. I'm very pleased he agreed making the decals. Can someone here tell me what color the text on the sticker is. The picture is in black & white. I think the text is in green, but I'm not sure.

Nice build. I have no colour pic of the side of the fuel tank at Zandvoort, but I have this of the nose from Monza - the next round. Shows the writing is green, I guess the fuel tank sticker would be the same colour?
