Ferrari 312T4
Hi, this is my old new project Ferrari 312T4 1/12 from Tamiya. I have already built it some years ago and i want to try it once again.
At that time I didn't like quality of my work and I have decided to stop the project, take apart this model and to put it back in the box till the best times. I think, these times have come.
To this model I have bought Tabu Design's decals and Studio27's aluminum pipes
I will build the car №12 from French Grand Prix
At present i have made a little...
Wash out all chrome from wings and wheels
took apart the monocoque
At first i plan to cut off all rivets from monocoque and replace it with resin or metal (i haven't decided yet)
I build this model in parallel with other project (click, click), therefore quick updates won't be yet
Thanks for viewing.

Re: Ferrari 312T4
Hi!
That's my only 1/12 kit and it's my "holy grail". I'm not confident with big scale kits, so I'm waiting for the right time to build it.
Like your previous works, I think you'll do a great job
Keep us updated

Re: Ferrari 312T4
So, is this going to be a detailed build? If so, I'm glued to the monitor, waiting for an update! I have this kit (original issue) but won't get to it for a while. I'm heading the Renault way first...

Re: Ferrari 312T4
Hi Anthony,
Looking forward to your WIP, the 312T4 is one of my favorites. I'd recommend Calibre35's resin rivets. They produce rivet heads with 0.5mm diameter which is perfect for 1:12. All you need to do is pre-drill a 0.3mm hole and apply a tiny drop of superglue to the rivet shaft before dropping it into the hole. These rivets would be ideal for your latest project.
Cheers, Paul

Re: Ferrari 312T4
Anthony,
Looking forward to your build. It was the first 1/12 I built in 1983. Needles to say build quality is lacking.
I also have the re-issue with PE which I am waiting to tackle once my building skills are worthy of it.
Cheers,
Mike
