Very nice work so far! The "MkII" rivets look much better!

I've made two stands for the McLaren. First it looks nice when you work on it and second......well it looks nice
From plasticard I made some detail for the frontsuspension.
As I'm using aftermarket wheels I used the inserts from the plastic original wheels.
I detailed the cowling with tissue-paper to simulate the polyester. After the cowling is finished with paint, decals and clear I'll paint the inside matt black and drybrush with light grey.
After reading the discussions about the paintcolor on this McLaren, wich should be RAL 3024, I choose to use the Tamiya TS 36 wich is, I think, a close match. The color I must say is beautyful, it's bright and gives the McLaren a grat look. It's a shame I couldn't catch it with my camera. I sprayed it with my airbrush. I decanned it with a straw and was a little shocked what came out of the spraycan.
You see what I mean?
But it turned out great.

Things where not going in the right direction. This trip down to memorylane stops, but I bought a new one on Ebay. It's the original one with the correct decals and on the fine art on the box. The aluminum wasn't looking that sharp. After seeing the great build from Akihiro Kamimura on the Lotus where he used Spaztix Chrome paint on the monocoque I decided to do this on the new M23. First I will complete my Porsche 917K and after that I make a fresh start on the McLaren.

Have you managed to get any Spazstik Mirror Chrome Paint? If so could you let me know where, I have been trying to get this product for a while now and the only place that seems to have it in stock is there US web site, but it wont let me order from there.
Hope you can back to the Mclarens soon, they are looking good.
Cheers
