Hi All,
Had a request to post some more pic's of our "Les Garagistes" show table. The main interest here in the UK is on club displays, competitions are held in a seperate area. However the last pic is of one of our team winning best in show which is amazing over here, it's usualy a tank or aircraft!!

Hey Alex,

Great looking stuff there. What did Duncan win with? Was it an IPMS show? I've won a couple Best Auto awards but come up just short to Aircraft, generally. That's great that he was able to overcome the "bias" against us car guys!

Nice looking display of the Martini cars. I went to an IPMS show last year and i was sad that there was almost no cars on display. Mostly military stuff. It was also nice, but not my cup of tea.

IPMS started out as an aircraft club and has expanded to all plastic models. It's tough to overcome the judges with cars but it can be done (as Alex posted above...) Good contests generally, I will have to say.

While I am no lover of IPMS...it is not as bad as it used to be, at shows in the New England area cars frequently outnumber other entrants.

drledford...where did you get your info about IPMs initially being an A/C club? Never heard that before.

Thanks Guy,s, A lot of the shows here in the UK are not always IPMS, most of the organizing clubs are IPMS affiliated for many reasons, and the judging of competitions tends to follow IPMS guidelines.
Duncan,s show winning entry was a super detailed Tamiya YZR-M1 motorcycle.

The club I am a member of is IPMs for one reason...Liability Insurance for our yearly show.
