Hello, a little late to the party, but never mind. I'll see how much of this I can get completed during this group build.
a quick test fit after putting some paint onto the engine block
I decided to get rid of the molded in wires and replace with some thin wires that I had to give the area a bit more depth
I've just started to add some carbon fibre to the side pods, hopefully I can get rid of the wrinkles. I've decided to use 1/24 SMS scale plain weave and SMS twill for this build, in the past I've used 1/20, so I'm interested to see how it'll look.

How will you get rid of the wrinkles? It has always been my nightmare in CF decaling. Luckily i have never witnessed it so far, but i have only tried very few times....

Looking good - you must be confident if you're adding additional detailing during a speed build!
Good luck with the CF decaling too, it's often a pain to get right.
