Tamiya Braun Tyrrell Honda 020 1/20

Hi all,
This will be my first scale model, I put on this webpage.
Sorry if I make mistakes, I'm from Lithuania.
This is my collection what I made till now.

Now I'm starting my first Tamiya 1/20 kit


I'm confused about the color. Tamiya recommends TS42, and the model would look like this:

It's impossible to get this color in Lithuania...
Can I use X10 instead?

But I see old original pictures and it looks Black to me :/



What would you recommend?

Is X10 ok?
But somehow I want to paint it black :/ It would look better I think...

I think clean black will be too dark for this car.



May be better to use x-10?

Hi Baksas,

first of all, welcome on board! will be very nice to see your builds here! (you have a great collection!)

I built the tyrrell 020 some months ago, I used TS-42, but I also think that gunmetal (x-10) will be better than using some kind of black.
the colour of the tyrrell changes depending the light and it makes confusion because in some pictures it seems more black than grey, but as you can see in the picture above it's not black.

This is my first Tamiya F-1 kit. I'm exited
Till now had only Revell. We have almost no Tamiya in Lithuania and it’s expensive. Thanks too almighty internet now I have a collection of Tamiya F-1 with accessories waiting
I will learn the build technology of Tamiya with this simple model.
