Fantastic effort! What a proud addition to your display case! The Acu-Stion parts look great, and you've even done the heat sensitive paint stripes on the brake rotor edges. Sweet!

Re: Lotus 79 DVD
If it's a running DVD video, get VLC Player, and watch it on your PC. VLC plays everything, regardless of file type, region, encoding, etc.

Re: Ricciardo to Renault
I was surprised to hear about Ricciardo's move, but after reading the posts here, it makes sense to me now. I wish him all the best at Renault!

Re: Video of beautiful build of 1/12 Tyrrell 003
Amazing work with all those hand-built, home-lathed parts! Wow! @ M.Chriss: The comments are lots praise, mostly saying that the engine looks like it would actually start up. @ gp-models: Caption at 11:25 minutes says he back-filled the tyres with resin, to keep the treads from going concave. Beautiful Protar 312 T5 build. I missed it in 2012! I love the way you got the body to fit, and the work you did with the tyres. Excellent!

Re: Bad fit McLaren MP4/6 (Fujimi 1/20) anyone?
Cowling fitment is a problem with many kits -- even Tamiya's & Ebbro's. I think it's just because thin plastic parts warp a little bit, when they come out of the mould, still-hot. And manufacturers aren't going to keep their moulds closed for a whole minute until the parts cool. They'd only get ...

Re: AcuStion Parts
Ah, AcuStion make medical stuff too? That might explain a lot. I once thought about buying some of the UV light-hardening "bondo" my dentist uses, until heard that it costs a couple hundred dollars for a small vial. AcuStion do have an -- ahem -- different business model, don't they. Cheer...
