I like both models a lot. I especially admire your skills and courage on the 1979's car conversion.
1978 car looks great as well. Congratulations on 2 great models. All your effort paid off. And thanks
for posting progress in WIP thread.

Hi Rainer,

The WIP you did for these two was well done, it explained the changes you made perfectly. The results you have here speak for themselves, both are very nice indeed and you should be pleased with how both cars have ended up. Congratulations on a fine job done on each one.

Cheers, Paul

Thanks for all the nice comments.

When cutting nodyparts, like the rearwing on the 78 version, i cut along the panel lines with a sharp hobby knife. Just apply low pressure and keep cutting.
For all straight cuts i use a photo etched saw, these are extremely helpfull as you won´t get plastic buildup at the edges and it gives you a very thin cut.

For a full detail build i would suggest the hasegawa, i think the detail is a bit better than the tamiya, especially the engine is very nice.

When the Lotus 79 first came out I had hoped one of the kit companies would offer the late season 1979 car as you have modeled.

It does not look likely that there will be a mass produced kit so I will have to start researching and begin to emulate your fine work.

Thanks for sharing.

Nice work, Rainer! Both cars are excellent! And I like to see a Reutemann ride.

Congratulations on all the hard work, and excellent results!

Cheers,
Chris
