Re: Jordans first 191
Good Work ! And the Painted Stripe on the front Wing looks even better than narrow Decal to be used.

Re: Jordans first 191
Thanks everyone, I appreciate the appreciation. I so totally had fun redoing this kit that I promptly ordered their MP4/4 carbons and will build another one of those.....and the 4/5b....and if they do the Lotus 97.....carbon everything!

Re: Jordans first 191
I love how you laid out the CF decals, impressive job! Was it a painful process or did it go rather smoothly?
I love the colours, the green and the blue makes it for a perfect livery! Well done.

Re: Jordans first 191
While it was a bit labor intensive, the decals went on easily. The only thing to keep an eye on is doing concave surfaces like the underside of the rear (not pictured) or the head rest. That one refused to lie down but enough Microsol and heat from the hair dryer swayed it to do what I wanted it to! S27 cut everything to fit really well so I didn't have to trim anything as I went along. It was like decaling the rest of the car....only a bit monochromaticly. In fact, on this kit, that front wing stripe and the pinstripe along the engine cover were far more of a pain to deal with.Corpsegrinder wrote:I love how you laid out the CF decals, impressive job! Re: Jordans first 191
Oh, don't remind me of those two white pinstripes on each sidepod. I used up all the pinstripes decals supplied in the Tamiya box with the Jordan...I couldn't lay out them straight, especially in the rear section, and when I ran out I just had to leave them askew, that's what made me suffer the most in that car. I am definitely going to build it again later as I want to get it right!!!bossy122 wrote: .... I also agree about the light green stripe in the front wing, totally useless: I destroyed the decal in less than a minute so I went with light green paint with brush instead.

Beautiful Jordan! Love all the CF detail. And that green definitely "pops" in some photos. Looks great!
