Guys,
I'm rebuilding an existing 1:12 MP4/6 as "kerbside". I have some questions regarding details, and wondered if anyone could answer them or link to a "walkaround" website? Questions are:
1) What type of carbon was on:
The inside faces of the F&R wing end plates.
The rear wing supports.
The front wing deflectors/vortex generators.
The brake ducts.
The undertray.
2) What type/colour of body fasteners were used?
3) What type/colour of windscreen fasteners were used?
4) A view of the inside of the sidepod ducts?
5) What fasteners were used on the wing endplates to secure the planes and to adjust incidence angles?
6) Detail views of the brake lines running along the wishbones and where they feed into the tub and how they connect to the calipers.
7) Does anyone have a source for 1:12 tyre stickers and templates for the tread codes?
What colour were the wheel nuts and stub axles?
That should cover the additions I would like to make for now.
Thanks in advance!

Paul that's a very kind offer, I'm ordering the Joe Honda book this weekend (on your advice), but just wanted a head start to begin ordering a few relevant bits and pieces, possibly from Hiroboy at the same time I order the book...F1Modlz wrote:Drop us an email mate and I'll send you the reference pics from the mfh book

It's no probelm for me to wait (this rebuild has been waiting 15 years so far!), but thanks again for the offer.
Cheers.

So pleased you chose to buy the Joe Honda book. It really is worth every penny, and I think it's great that we as a group (modellers) can support Joe Honda in his retirement years buying something that he has tirelessly dedicated his life's work to.

That's true. I held out for a long while in buying my first Joe Honda book but am now well and truly hooked, 9 and counting so far.

Check out this WIP by Si90. One of the most impressive build I've ever seen, will provide a lot of ideas and reference for your curbside rebuild.
