need some help sorting images

Hello!

I have a strange/silly request.
A friend of mine sent me a load of F1 pictures.
They are from a mix of sources, and some are bad, but most are quite good.
Trouble is, he apparently does not know much about F1, and his attempt to name images was less than successful.
And my attempt to keyword them is not better.
The problem, mostly is I don't not know enough about the time in which the pictures were made, and the drivers.
I can recognize Gilles Villeneuve when I see him, and the Ferrari's (since they are red!!) but the rest gives me problems.

There are about 900 photos, of a more scenic/atmospheric/artistic nature rather than reference nature.

Basically all I offer is a headache. Any takers ?

what time period do the pictures cover?

I think they are from the mid 1960s to 1981. The latest car I could identify is a 126CK. And the earliest that I have noticed is a Lotus 25.

Are they hard copy or digital?

digital, from a few hundred kb to 2mb

I'm sure there might be several people on this site that might be interested, providing this is not being done for commercial reasons (or would still be interested if it is being done for commercial reasons and there would be compensation involved). Why don't you post 4 or 5 images so that we can see if we would be interested?

I should be able to do most of the seventies for you - I have the Autocourses for that period which are great reference.

These photos are not for any business, they are simply for my own (and your) viewing pleasure.

I am using Aperture 2 for all my photos, and it uses comma separated keywords, but if you use other methods, like naming the images, its fine too.
