Audi R8C LM'99 finished

Post by jaykay »

Hi everybody

This is my latest project, the Audi R8C. It's got fenders but i thought now that it's finished i'll post it anyway:-)
The original was run at LeMans in 1999, Audis first attempt at that race, where they ran two of these coupes and two open spyders to evaluate which was the better concept. As most will know by now they opted for the spyders. I was a bit sad about that as I usually prefer closed LM prototypes but the run of race wins in the following years showed that Audi may have had a point there :-)

The model is a modified Provence Moulage kit. You can find a WIP thread here:

Well ......One of my last grail to get in 1/24 scale.
Such a nice car, very pure and agressive...
I saw that WIP, very great build.
In 2 words: Kicks ass.
My turn will be to add the 98 GT-ONE to the site soon ;)

...and i'll be adding the BMW soon too!

jaykay, looks amazing. especially impressed with your skill with the light covers. and from the WIP, the interior is perfect. i aspire to your cleanliness.

how much for about 10 sets of the wheels? (no, seriously).

Thanks! :-) As for the cleanliness don't let the images fool you. It leaves quite a bit to be desired. Looking at your recent finished models this one is not any cleaner. As a matter of fact, today i got myself a Tameo McLaren MP4/15 off ebay to practice cleanliness ( no messing with silly details ) after seeing your MP4/13 recently. That looked amazing and got me fired up to improve myself....seriously!
