1/43 F-1 Cosworth Engine

Post by Fallscity48 »

Several of the F-1 cars from the late 80's ran with open cowls that exposed the engine area. I'd like to build a few of the cars that way :D
I've seen a 1/43 F-1 Cosworth Engine for sell on E-bay a time or 2.
Does anyone make or have these available ( resin maybe) ?

Thanks.... Tony

one way would be to buy on of those Tameo kits with a cosworth engine...a lot available, also from BBR and mayn other companies. The set you saw was possibly the Feeling 43 engine.

The Cossie in the WCT Lotus 72 is excellent. It's a bit better than the one in the Tyrrell 006 i also have. Fit of parts is fantastic and you get two types of cam covers ( one set with Ford Logos molded in and one without ).

I'm building (for years now :-)) a very detailed build of the SRC 1974 Lotus 72E.
The SRC's DFV is OK but nothing special so I replaced it with a DFV (and gearbox) from Tameo's Tyrrell P34/2 (it's a relatively new kit) and further modified it slightly. It turned out very good.
Now I have to shoehorn SRC's DFV and Hewland in the back of the Tyrrell :-)
