The pieces on the two caps are the upper and lower a-arms, half shafts, disc brakes and wheel hubs. What a pain!!! Everything you see sitting up there so precariously is just that sitting, there. None of it is glued in. I was cursing so hard because parts kept falling off or apart, my dogs were hiding. They thought it was there fault. The sub frame on the news paper goes on top and is supposed to hold all the pieces in. In which alternate dimension the instructions don't say!

This is the completed front suspension. I used about 6 pieces of masking tape to hold the half shafts to the hubs and the upper and lower a-arms in. It still was really really REALLY frustrating.

Christmas arrived in August!! I got the photo etch parts I ordered from ThunderValleyF1
today. They look absolutely phenomenal. Now if I only knew where all of them went! I can figure out the gaskets for the block, headers and injectors, but the rest of them? They're supposed to be pretty much the same for anything that ran a DFV Engine, so if anybody can post where they go, I'd really appreciate it. I'm gonna call Paul, but I think he's on holidays this week. Thanks.

I've got more pictures to add!
1) The Photo etch from Thunder Valley F1. The two large pieces of PE cover a number of different Ford DFV Engines.
2) Engine Block, transmission and rear suspension parts.
3) Exhaust, Inspection Plate, and waterjacket PE attached to the block
4) Intake gaskets attached to block.
5) Starter body with rear bracket removed. I will remove the front bracket and replace both with PE brackets.

More updates! This will be the last for a while. I don't have anywhere to build at my winter residence. If that changes, I'll add more updates.
1) Transmission and starter, brackets and straps are from Thunder Vallley photo etch.
2) Starter mounted to transmission. The photo etch comes with pre-drilled bolt holes for those that want to add them.
3) Intake manifolds with mounting rings. Intake trumpets fit inside the ring.
4) Injector parts. They are really small and I'm surprised I've still got them all!
5) Built injectors. I put them together in long form. The previous picture shows them in short. Long just looked better to me.

Even more Photos! All photo etch is from Thunder Valley.
1) Intake trumpets mounted to manifolds. Bottom of manifold shows throttle plates.
2) Block with photo etch mounting plates, heads, and front braces.
3) Fuel lines (40lb test fishing line) and electronic ignition.
4) Bottom of block with water and oil pumps.

Re: W.I.P. 1/12 Lotus 72d
A bi of an update. Due to a number of changes in my life, I haven't been able to build as much as I wanted to this summer. The good news is I will be able to do more this winter, because I now have a place to build!
I used 40lb test for the fuel lines to my Thunder Valley Injectors, and I had trouble making it work. The line kept straightening out when I tried to glue it. I finally taped the c**p out of it, then poured boiling water overtop. As you can see in the last picture, the lines are nicely bent.
Thanks,
Crash
