JR Salvinos IndyCar

Post by SBEST »

I know this is not F1. But at least it is open-wheel.

Has anyone seen a test shot of this kit? Actually, seen it not some 3d rendering?

Michael any news about the real kit parts? The 1st quarter is already over.

I am sure once a version is released we will see others to follow shortly. First one of anything is always the hardest.

This is probably an odd comment, but I am OK waiting until they get this right because it appears the DW12 chassis isn’t going anywhere before 2027.

I’d have to study pictures more carefully, but I don’t think there’s that much of a difference between the 2020 version of the chassis and the current (2024) one, meaning with little modifications, you could build many different cars from at least a 5 year period, and perhaps longer.

And I’m sure there will be decals.

Honestly I'm not sure what's going on right now either, but the prototype looks really nice. I know they wanted to get the Larson car out BEFORE May, even though I suggested that they should wait - oh well, it will allow me to make a correct race day set of decals. (I'm not doing the art on the Larson car).

There are slight differences over the years, but - and I don't know if they are addressing it - they are trying to get the Larson car out and the windscreen has changed from last year. That definitely needs to be fixed for any 2024 cars.

I see what you are taking about with the 2024 windscreen. I’m wondering if it could be scratch built, but obviously I’d have to see the kit first. Probably wouldn’t be easy.
