On a normal scanner, you could backlight the decals, that makes the white decals show up somewhat better.

That's actually a good idea. My scanner doesn't have a back light, but if I put my little light up pad for tracing things behind the decal.....in theory.....should do the same. I actually need a new printer/scanner/asphalt spitter ( OLD Simpsons reference) to use with blutooth. Any recommendations, staying under 200 USD?
