Hi guys, cheers for the info. Apparently I've been living under a rock. The last time I've been trackside was either 2019 or more likely 2018, I think I skipped the one after Porsche left. And back then I just remember coming home, hitting the youtube and only getting snippets. But I never checked weeks after the race. I thought it unlikely to find it there due to copyright issues.

Anyway, re: my trip. For whatever reason, I've just checked the official LM ticketing site for the first time since starting to go in 2009 - and they're all sold out, everything but some Arnage area tickets. Like what? Honestly, the last few times I've literally decided to go on Friday evening / night to actually go, put my stuff (sleeping bag, pillow and some toiletries (bog roll!)) in the car and left for that 900 km trip to arrive maybe an hour or two before race start. And in all those years, I think I've only ever bought tickets at the official booth on site once (first year, 2009). Every time since I've gotten tickets from people selling them outside the entrance, but from what I remember - at least from last time - I could have still bought tickets at the entry just BEFORE the race start on Saturday. So now I'm torn. Do I go and potentially get to the track, but not in? AHHAHA shouldn't have checked the site LOL
Cheers,
Roman

Wow Roman you are much too late for tickets.
Think they started in October with selling them and 4 days later they were sold out.

F! Expletive followed by a stream of some additional ones ;)
All of those years you could still buy them at the entrance, even grandstand tickets - which reminds me of our first LM experience, where, after being told of by some security guy that we needed extra tickets for the grandstands above the pitlane with him pointing that way, I managed to enter the booth of the race control, asking for tickets to a lot of ??? faces pointing elsewhere. Slightly ;) embarrassed, I left that booth and tried to get those ticket at another stall. Back then you could buy tickets at various entrance points around the track, unlike the last few years. Trying to negotiate with the woman at the counter in appalling French (mine, obviously) and appalling English (hers, obviously ;)) we couldn't agree on what I wanted, so I left only to end up at the access point to the grandstands, explaining the story to the same security guy, who then looked left and right and wave my friend and me through - without tickets. This was sometime around midnight. So we were above the pit for a few hours looking back into the paddock and walking there - pretty damn awesome.

I think it not being a public event due to the bat-affair thingamaling for 3 or so years AND now with Ferrari and Porsche duking it out in the big boy class AND it being the 100th anniversary.. yeah, I get it. DAMN! My parents opinion on that "go anyway" :D. We'll see. There's usually people peddling tickets out front - in the years passed they have been asking very reasonable prices, unlikely this year.
Cheers,
Roman

What an amazing race so far, never seen so many crashes in the first 5 hours! I`m amazed by the speed from the cadillacs and the Ferrari`s seem to be able to keep up the pace from the Qualifying.
Realy worth watching when able!
Take a stand!

Wow, that´s been an amazing race! :)
Never expected that Ferrari comes back after 50 years and winning the 100th edition of that race in such way! What a great victory for the team.
That was a complete f1 season in one race, maybe more!
Take a stand!
