I did heat the can in warm water last night.....
That looks like what generally happens with humidity.

Humidity, especially on the darker colors, I live in Houston so know this well, have to use an AC unit and damp rid most of the year

Is 38% humidity considered humid?

No - but what you're showing on that spoon looks a lot like blooming and that usually comes from humidity. You want a warm dry environment and generally about 40-50% is considered "normal".

It can also be the mold release agent or grease on the plastic.
I have had the release agent react with paint before. Eduard kits are horrible in that, as are old and short run kits.

You should switch to airbrushing such stuff and using a water seperator infront of the gun. Don`t know if this is a correct description for this but too lazy to google it.

Water trap or moisture trap.

Moisture trap doesn’t help this issue, this happens when drying in humidity

I airbrush with a moisture trap and it doesn’t help

Would a spoon have a release agent on it?

It just gets goofier. 24 hours after that last spoon, I did another; came out fine. Yet, this model piece, I soaked in Tyre Blech then washed in soapy water, dried it off then hit it 30 seconds after the spoon aaaaand...THAT happened again
