LF Parts Tamiya Lotus 107 (20037)

Post by Ronnux »

I’ve been restoring al my models that I’ve built when I was a kid. My last restoration is the Lotus 107 and unfortunately some parts dissolved in the Tamiya Paint Remover… very strange cause all the other parts came out nicely!

Hopefully somebody has a spare kit or has the following parts in their spare parts box:

Shocks/suspension arms C8 and C9
Suspensionpart C3
Suspensionparts C5 and C6

I live in the Netherlands so Europe would be the best place for shipping costs :)

Thanks in advance!

Thanks James!

I’ve used oven cleaner for all the parts. Some parts still had some paint on them so for those parts I’ve used the Tamiya paint remover. Those parts came out ok except for the C sprue parts.

Maybe the C sprue was made of another plastic? Don’t know..

Hope you or somebody else can help me :)

Greetings!

Yeah! :D That´s what I meant  C sprue is made from ABS so the wishbones are more resilient! apparently ABS is melt by Tamiya paint remover, good to know!
I do have a box full of suspensions. I´ll try and find. That´s Karma, since that stuff was given to me by a dutch F1m member

Are we still looking for these parts?

I have some spare (long story why), just checking all parts required are still on either of the sprue.

I live in UK, damn Brexit and added import duties etc. on postage.

Macs modeling has 4 for sale for $20 each. From time to time there are also individual parts from different kits to buy. Maybe that's an option for you.
