Over christmas and new year days was no time to continue this endless work. Now I will go on. Starting this car I didn't foresee the the challenge of that build. But I hope for a lucky finish now.
The motor cover is finished so far.
First I bent the brass sheet for middle part over some layers of soft gum. In the next step I cut the side walls. And soldered them temporarily to the brass plate. The upper cover was bend and cut.

The now existing surface irregulations are leveled with Tamiya light curing putty There is some fine tuning necessary to close the gaps and making the holes for the air ventilation at the rear end and on the right wall for the loop to activate the rescue system.

Some improvement ar the motor: I replaced the resin cast Protar 312 B2 half axles by resin cast MFH axle copies from the 312 B.
Made the master from hard foam and face formed them from 0,3 styrene sheet. In place now with the trumpets.
Next was the construction of the bottom part of the ram boxes.Made the master from hard foam and face formed them from 0,3 styrene sheet. In place now with the trumpets.

Re: Ferrari 312 B3 1973 1:12
It's a long time since my last post to this WiP, but I lost a little the inspiration to continue, because there were some unexpected problems.
1. Front and rear track got 5 mm too wide, what required new suspensions to reduce the track.
2.Testing the steering wheel position, I noticed that the cockpit opening was not wide enough in the length.
3. I had no idea how to construct the two lateral ram boxes.
4.No idea concerning the front and rear wing.
These problems are mostly solved now, so I got new courage to continue this project.
Here are some photos of the progress:
