1/20 Lotus 78 Monaco 1978
Finished this one up yesterday. This is the "1977 reissue" with the PE bits and NO Goodyear markings. I went with Tabu decals. This kit really show its age. I've started 3 of these 20th scale kits and it's not the most satisfying build. The middle exhaust pieces are too short, the front suspension is not good and the rear wing supports are a headache, but here we go.....

Hello,
Your model car looks perfect, and the size and colour from the taboo decal seem to be nice.
Cheers.

This is a stunning OOB build! I wonder that the reissued kit still contains the raised letter tyres. The reissued M23 kit for example has even tyres without GY markings, if I remember right.

No, the 1977 reissue came with no Goodyear markings, including the tyres. I tried painting the Goodyears onto the kit tyres.....which are WAY better than the original kit tyres....but the front tyres were too small for the stencil I have so I had to poach a set from an older Lotus 78 kit, hence the raised letters....that I actually prefer as the real tyres had raised letters.
