Great work! You know, I have a few favourits among the helmet design's, and Peterson's is one of them.
I hadn't noticed your recent additions so far. Some time ago I was wondering what might be the closest match for Piquet's 1986 helmet. I think you gave me an answer. ;-)

Thank you, James! I should have added that I was wondering about a 1/20 scaled version. I knew it was an agv, and I came to the conclusion that the closest match would be a regular gpa. Until this new release, at least.
Any ideas for a 1986 gpa helmet with a larger face opening? Rene Arnoux was using such a helmet.

To manage the second generation of GPA helmet that Piquet was wearing to the beginning of the season here are some pictures:

The first GPA f1 generation was with a clipping system like 1982 or 1983.

From 1985 I think, the black clipping bottom part around the neck was replace by a usual belt as the other helmet brands.

Image

So you can just cut the this black part, on the early GPA version.

I hope to show soon a 87 version of the AGV that I did finally finished, I think the 86 version is almost the same.

Cheers.

I still have that GPA Helmet with the clipping system, bought it in 1988, named as GPA SJ Nelson Piquet Replica. It has air vents that can be regulated, so there might exist another version, maybe a later one.
If you need some reference shots, let me know and i can take some pics for you.

BTT: Great work! :)
Take a stand!

Thank you for the explanation, Franck. Ididn't noticed how big the difference on the bottom was.
Arnoux's helmet was even more different then that:

When I will give it a try, I will remove a part from the bottom, and will try to enlarge the face opening.

Hello,

I almost finish my Senna's figure, I still have to add the radio plug , I tried to save the helmet after the solvent accident, so I did it again with some decal from Modeler’s that I bought some years ago to someone from the forum (I can’t remember WHO!?) the stripes are a bit to large and the blue is to light, but after all is not that bad.

Hello,

I drew and printed decal with my inkjet printer, not the best but, it will do the job. There is the missing decal for the 1987 Piquet figure from Museum Collection Williams FW11 (1986-1987), the others are for DeAngelis (Silverstone 1981) and for Jones (1980). I sprayed again the DeAngelis figures to have a better white color.

Then I did some progress to the Piquet figure, I still have to do the Helmet.
