What is your least enjoyable task in modeling?

For me, in F1 at least, it has to be removing the seamline in tires.
Ugh.
It's tiring (ba dum tish!) to sand tire that is just not receptive to being sanded. The sandpaper has little effect, its dirty and the graining/pickup of the tires just exacerbates the task.
I usually do it when I am watching a race, as it keeps my hands busy (too not eat too much snacks!) with four tires, a bowl of water and a piece of sandpaper on tray, but still its a chore.

Surely the model manufacturers have to be able to create a better tire. :(

Priming, as it often leads to more sanding, filling, etc as I messed up the previous step. It can be a long back and forth as I have issues with getting putty to be thin enough to get inside cracks, but thick enough to not just become a soup.

Finish a model.
At some point I wanted to start the next project instead of painting the last parts of polishing stuff.
Every next project is more exciting than an old one who is laying some months on the bench.

This is why I prefer resin tires.

1. Working with putty to fill anything. (I always struggle to get the surface flat/smooth enough for painting). 2. Dealing with vacuform screens. 3. Deciding what clear coat is really my favorite. 4. Finishing a model and not liking how it turned out in the end because I got too impatient.

I could not agree more! Especially on rally cars when you get to do it twice! I finally swore off doing the belts for rally cars because once you put the body on, you can barely even see them. Seat belts is also what pushed me to do MotoGP bikes. No harnesses there!
