New Member Here Testing the waters
Hi all
Elderly gent from Ontario Canada. Scratch builder of racing cars from the 50's and 60's (my era) and other things ... boats and British steam locomotives. Just want to try posting a photo to test the process. Haven't found any formal instructions just bits of information here and there. Hope it works.

Re: New Member Here Testing the waters
Thanks for the replies. Actually I don't build to any standard scale but if you must have one then it's approximately 1/15th.
I've done many sports cars from the 50's and 60's but only 3 F1 cars ... the 250F, the Lancia D50 and a W196 Merc. These are hand carved bodies with my own design wire wheels. All other components are hand cut, filed and polished from scrap metals I collect.
Here's a few more 250F shots.

Re: New Member Here Testing the waters
You´ll find we´re like that: absolutely chaotical and enthousiastic supply of info, but finally it works.
You'll be treated right! and once seen your model, you well deserve it.
Welcome to the asylum
Great job on this car!!

That’s a very nice model. Thanks for letting us see it!
Welcome to the zoo, oops - a very special place with a lot of amazing people who use it. Check out some of the archives…there are some special builds in there.

Welcome!
You have built a very beautiful 250F.
I would like to see your other models, especially the Mercedes W196.
