Curious , what problems did you have with decals? Did they not react with setting solutions?

They were rice paper thin... Probably tore 1/3 of them, even trying to be careful.
The ones on the BMW were really thick. Lol!!

Looks good! I just completed the BMW and had super thin decals on that, so weird you had thick ones!
