1/20 MFH BRM P115
This is my second MFH, the 1967 BRM P115 with the legendary H16 engine. It's another one of my all-time favorite F1 cars for its unmistakable and unique sound. And I've always been impressed by the engineering needed to make a 3L H16, even if it was heavy, unreliable, and not very successful.
MFH even provides all 16 cylinders!
I've started in on the cockpit as well.
The body panels are primed:
BRG applied:
And here is my organization system, an old chocolates container. Hopefully it will help me to not lose any of the tiny pieces in this kit.
More to come soon!

I've made some more slow progress.
The cockpit is about done:
More work has been done on the engine:
I decided to go with black valve covers even though I've seen some with gold covers. I may still change back to gold.
And the body panels are close to ready.

Re: 1/20 MFH BRM P115
Work continues on the engine:
The first 8 trumpets are done, only 8 more left. Having 16 cylinders is awesome , but it does make for a TON of drilling on the engine.
Ok, done! Now I just need find a good color for the oil filer. And do some weathering on the engine.
You can see the oil filter in the pic. I'm also trying to decide how to paint the exhausts.
Another pic showing the filter & exhausts. I've seen P83s and P115s and they all seem to have slightly different colored exhausts. Some are whiteish, some are blackish...
Also I decaled the seat and kind of butchered it but oh well. This is why I don't do c/f decals. I plan to clear-coat it with maybe a flat clear or satin to take the shine down a bit.

Oh nice! That's another kit I was interested in getting but there's only so much time!pgarat wrote:Hi,

Hi,
Cool!!
Awesome progress and beautiful engine!
I’ve seen one for sale few days ago and... was strong, not buying it!
Can’t wait to see more.
