What scratch built 1/12 F1 you'd wanna see in a contest?
What scratch built 1/12 F1 you'd wanna see in a contest?
OK, let's face it: I love to do polls!!
I find them funny, participative -well depending n number of answers!! -, and a nice chance to chat on models.
Anyway here I am with one of those that rarely finish into something solid.
But who nows I surprised myself last year taking no less than 18 cars t a contest.
The thing is I'd like to take a pair of scratch built 1/12 F1 cars to a local contest, and I'd like to see what people wuld be more pleased of seeing. Hnestly I don't promise I'll follow theresult, but surely I'll consider it in case I finally don't know what to do.
one of the places is already assigned to my much advanced (build process I mean, not that it's hi tech) RE50 a la Cedric , the doubt is what the second will be.
So the candidates are the ones listed above.
You may vote twice and also chance the vote later, and most of all, comment, hint, suggest talk!
Thanks for your time!

I voted for the bt55 because it's a real good lookin car even when it's not a winner.
But the idea behind it is great.

Sorry!!! I had not seen the votes!!! thanks for voting, matesJamesB wrote:Really? 150 visits and not a single answer???

But yes, comments are also welcome. Thans, Christian, also te god thing n the 55 is that is easier to make... much flat stuff!!
PS: I see the 55 with a certain advantage, but then there's a real tie between the others. That makes me think all are good ideas. BTW, the last option is a line that belongs to the MP4/2, ahem...

Nice idea. I started the FW08c as a 3d model to print in 1/12. I would say it'S 75% done...!?

Wow! That sounds great!!daniel wrote:Nice idea. I started the FW08c as a 3d model to print in 1/12. I would say it'S 75% done...!?
Me I have some kind of BT53 in 3D too but quite primitive.
Basicly I have not found a nice freeware software that allows me to model with the ease I did with Corel, Mechanical Desktop, Autocad...
Anyway any one I choose, It'll be plastic, knife, file, sanding, putty... just that!
Hmmm.... those I'd keep for an FW07C. For me, the '80 car looks sharper, more badass with AJ and the #27...SimonaModelismo wrote:FW07B, with Reuteman decals!
Please, forgot I to say my fav is the BT53? not the easiest one, certainly.

I voted the Maclaren, but know that the B behind James is standing for Brabham, so if James Brabham is introducing another brabham, i jump on the train as well!
Take a stand!

Torn a bit between BT55 and BT53. Voted for BT55 to make it clear favorite make it easier for you
The only request I have is to make a resin kit from your one off later. Otherwise why would you make that vote public

Sergey, as I said, not sure I'll make the most voted
Besides, I remind yu can vote two and change the vote
Thanks again guys!
PS: and the last option, I remind, is a mistake, it does not imply anything

hehe I won't ask which one! seems there's a lot of curiosity on the 55...gp-models wrote:I voted the Maclaren, but know that the B behind James is standing for Brabham, so if James Brabham is introducing another brabham, i jump on the train as well!
