Re: No more Ferrari?
This is what a dealer wrote on Facebook:
Hello dear folowers, note that an important annoucment has comed from Model Factory Hiro today, Ferrari licence will end end of this year and will not be rennewed, So all the Ferrari kit sale will terminate in a few months.
He claims he had a telephone conversation this morning and there is no licence for 2019.

Re: No more Ferrari?
The worst message in 2018!
Re: No more Ferrari?
Sorry for my question, may sound stupid, but that doesn't mean that the kits (which are already produced and delivered to the dealers worldwide) won't be available any longer?
It's "just" that Hiro isn't allowed to produce them any longer (esp. in terms of planned projects).
The kits will still be available at the known Shops. Right?
Or does MFH have to withdraw them from the market?
THX for a hint / answer,
Jochen

Re: No more Ferrari?
Jochen, that's exactly what came to my mind? I suppose they could play it like "well, we've released that
model in ... (2018) and have produced xxx kits, not all of which were sold, so we'll keep selling off the
remaining stock" or - and that's me not having a clue about such licensing deals (mofo to the rescue?)
since they made it under license, the can continue to do so... or option 3 any stock not sold by the end
of the contract cannot be sold?
If option #1 is the one, I'd start producing a ton of these kits so that they can be sold off next year, and
if it is door #3, then I guess we're screwed.
I have spent a lot of the intended modelling money on rebuilding my appartment, so.. bummer.

The ones delivered to shops will still be available for sale, but I'm assuming MFH can't make any more of them nor can sell them themselves after this date.JKNU70 wrote:Sorry for my question, may sound stupid, but that doesn't mean that the kits (which are already produced and delivered to the dealers worldwide) won't be available any longer?

That is my understanding of how it works as well.stubeck wrote:The ones delivered to shops will still be available for sale, but I'm assuming MFH can't make any more of them nor can sell them themselves after this date.
I for one welcome the brake from all the red cars but then I'm not one of those who thinks the world revolves around Ferrari. I'm so looking forward to seeing some not red offerings!!!!
