For years, I have done all of my red cars with a base of TS-25(pink) over white primer. I have always decanted it and shot it through my air brush. The pink does allow for easier(Less paint) coverage. I don't know that i will run out and buy a can, but it does save a step. To save the "mixing", try the TS-25 method next time.Gorf wrote:Although I could be interested in a can of Tamiya pink primer just for comparison purposes but what would be the true difference between it and mixing a bit of flat red or even TS-8,49,or 86 with white primer?
Russell, how about giving us the low down as you have been able to use some actual pink primer please.

Steve

Re: Tamiya SF70H
Looking good Russel. Are you going to build Kimi or Seabass? I put my Kimi name decals on in the wrong place and am hoping someone who is building Vettel would send me their Räikkönen decals.

Re: Tamiya SF70H
A very good color for this car is the Tamiya TS-86 Pure red. The instructions say TS-49 - which is wrong.
TS-49 is a fluo color - TS-86 is more "rich red" which is much more a match.

That's the most comprehensive set of carbon decals I've seen from s27 in a long time. Also make my next Japan order quite a bit more expensive.

Re: Tamiya SF70H
I wonder if someone is going to weather their SF70H like the one that finish (and win) the Australian GP. A lot of dirt going on there...
