When you Google" Englebert" the Belgian tyre supplier ,you will find that they delivered tyres to F1 between 1950 and 1958...thats a good starting point.And if you find the world champions with Ferrari in that era you are even closer ;)

D50 sounds about right. I saw Englebert and had to google some background as I remember seeing the Banners for Grand Prix races of the 55s (we're preparing a mod of the F1'55 season for GPL). Englebert has been used for 8 GP wins during the period quoted above including two world champion ships - all of the with the prancing horse team...

01 - 1955 Monaco GP, Maurice Trintignant, Ferrari 625 F1
02 - 1956 Argentine GP, Luigi Musso / Juan Manuel Fangio, Ferrari D50
03 - 1956 Belgian GP, Peter Collins, Ferrari D50
04 - 1956 French GP, Peter Collins, Ferrari D50
05 - 1956 British GP, Juan Manuel Fangio, Ferrari D50
06 - 1956 German GP, Juan Manuel Fangio, Ferrari D50 -> World Champion
07 - 1958 French GP, Mike Hawthorn, Ferrari Dina 246 F1 -> World Champion
08 - 1958 British GP, Peter Collins, Ferrari Dino 246 F1

Let's just say, considering the drivers, as Alex mentioned before, there is only one obvious choice: the 625 F1. Ok, well kidding aside, it will be a JMF D50 even if the other race winners are some of the GP greats, but there's only one to outshine them all. What will be interesting to see is which versions of the D50 we'll get. I mean, there's the version with the integrated pods and the one with the separated ones... (Regarding 1950s I'm way out of my depth, I do graphics for the cars, but don't care too much about the when and where ;)).

Btw I have just realized that it seems as if the English WIKI is lacking a lot of details regarding the races compared to the German one:
EN: 1956 season: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1956_Formula_One_season
DE: 1956 season: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automobil ... chaft_1956 (click on "-> Hauptartikel: Großer Preis von xyz 1956" underneath the bold headline for each race to get an in-detail race report)
(replace 19xx with desired season.. and use google translate if necessary)

/edit
on second thought the thread pattern looks a bit off.

Italian govt gave Ferrari the D50 as part of the Lancia liquidation. It will never be a ferrari D50 in my eyes...
