A customer suggested I do this after seeing my translucent brake ducts. I thought it was a great idea and went with it. The Frosted Ultra Detail material is a perfect medium to replicate the translucent plastic used on fluid tanks. Polish it up and paint the strap and it will look great. You could probably even put fluid in it if you get a good seal on the mounting holes, but I cannot be responsible for how any fluid would react with the material.

And if you'd like to order two, I have a two-pack to save a bit on the cost

I will be doing one for the Ebbro Tyrrells as well.

Re: Translucent overflow tank for Tamiya Tyrrell Ford
I have added an option for the Ebbro kits. In fact I have five separate options:
One Tamiya 1/12 scale tank
Two Tamiya 1/12 scale tanks
One Ebbro 1/20 scale tank
Two Ebbro 1/20 scale tanks
Combo pack one Ebbro 1/20 tank and one Tamiya 1/12 tank
One Tamiya 1/12 scale tank
Two Tamiya 1/12 scale tanks
One Ebbro 1/20 scale tank
Two Ebbro 1/20 scale tanks
Combo pack one Ebbro 1/20 tank and one Tamiya 1/12 tank

Re: Translucent overflow tank for Tamiya and Ebbro Tyrrell k
I am going to take credit for suggesting this idea to Indycals. Normally I would not make such a statement but I emailed Indycals at 6:00pm eastern time December 3, 2015. I took my son to his Cub Scout meeting. I noticed at the meeting I had an email from incas about how much he like the idea.
I checked F! M at 8:30 am on December 4, 2015 just to see what is going on. To my shock these parts were already posted for sale so I immediately order the set of two that I wanted as I have two 1/12 Terrell 003's to build, one hammer head and one regular.
I have been mostly out of car modeling in recent years, focusing on aircraft but needed to shift gears so to speak. Have followed the work of inycals though and this website from a distance.

Look like a great products! Sure to add more realism to 1960s & 70s cars.

Its very cool... I am wondering if there could be a "no strap" version or one that has the strap as an additional part? Would help with finishing I think?

That idea did occur to me when I was designing them, but the strap would be insanely fragile and would probably warp severely. My recommendation would be to just sand off the strap and fashion your own with something like electrical tape.

I'd just assume have one without it, if it's possible. Making a strap is easy but sanding all that down can be a b****.indycals wrote:That idea did occur to me when I was designing them, but the strap would be insanely fragile and would probably warp severely. I already have too many options as it is. These particular parts would be pretty easy to remove the straps.
